While we personally chose small weddings, it is a decision that is based on so many factors, that we felt it’s important to share a few of the benefits of each. Last week we talked about the pro’s of small wedding, and this week we’ll talk about some of the great things about a big one.
Ultimately what wedding memories you want to cherish for the rest of your lives will help you decide how big of a wedding you should plan. But what those important memories are is so completely personal and different for each couple, that we recommend taking some time to consider it. By doing so, you have a way better chance of having a wedding you will enjoy and remember fondly (brought back to life of course by expert lenses, just like ours! ) .
The Benefits of a Large Wedding
The excitement!
There is no doubt that a large wedding is exciting! With everyone arriving from around the city, country and sometimes even the world, there is a great deal of buzz generated from a great big wedding. Along with all the services that you hire, the planning, the design, the delicious food, and everything else involved, it is something everyone invited will be looking forward to, as well as the bridal couple and their family
The event you imagined!
A large traditional wedding is what many people dream of their entire lives for when they get married. There are some cultures that save for their children’s weddings their entire lives, and the wedding can occur over many days. It’s a community event! For those that enjoy all the elements, guests, and fanfare of a traditional wedding, it is more appropriate to go big!
Includes everyone that matters
One of the downsides of a small wedding is that, by definition, you can’t invite everyone! When you go a bit bigger, you can make sure to have everyone that matters to you present to celebrate your marriage. Plus, you won’t leave anyone out – it can be hard cutting down your guest list for a really small wedding.
A night to remember
Ultimately, a great big wedding can end up really being a night to remember, for everyone, including your photographers! We have great memories of some of the big weddings we’ve attended. If sharing this kind of memory with all your guests is important to you, then probably a larger wedding is a great idea.
