Our startup clients sometimes have limited cash flow, but less-limited time, so we thought we could still get them great shots by delegating the time-consuming task of item preparation to them.
There are some simple steps that you can take, to ensure that the photos you get from us will help your sales go from a few to a few hundred thousands!
Choose The Best One(s)
Sometimes labels are crooked or the there some other flaw in the packaging, like an extra crease or poorly overlapping edges. Make sure what you send us is the one that you like best.
Clean
A little cleaning goes a long way. Take off any dirt or other accumulated debris, if necessary wash as needed.
Dust
Our cameras are super high resolution, and we shoot at settings that mean that we capture absolutely everything. Dust isn't limited to lint on a garment: a bottle, bag, or whatever it is, accumulates it as well. The easiest way to deal with this is a blower of some kind - either the compressed air type, or something similar to what we use for our camera lenses, a kind of squeeze bulb.
Polish
Polish any and all fingerprints, smudges, dirt, or other marks - just like with the dust, our cameras will pick up any and all flaws.
Decide what you need
Research what the best angle is to photograph your item - compare to other people selling similar items online. Then when you bring us your items, you can show us with some examples what you are looking for. Even better, send us images to match to.
Deliver Carefully
Of course, make sure not to undo all the hard work you've done when you bring us your items. Prepare them carefully in bags that prevent smudges or dust from accumulating, and any other means necessary to ensure the items look they way you want them when they arrive at our studio.
